6th Annual Justice Tribute event hosted by ACRL and Detroit Branch NAACP
We extend our heartfelt gratitude to all who joined us for the 6th Annual Justice Tribute Ceremony.The event was a collaborative endeavor between the Arab American Civil Rights League (ACRL) and the Detroit Branch NAACP, symbolizing our joint commitment to recognizing individuals who have dedicated their careers to upholding the principles of equality and justice, while celebrating the unwavering spirit of our community.
We were honored to have the esteemed Honorable Judge Prentis Edwards Jr. and the Honorable Judge Helal Farhat from the Third Circuit Court of Michigan serving as co-chairs for the event. Their dedication to justice and equality brought a unique perspective and energy to the Tribute.
The Justice Tribute served as a platform to acknowledge those whose unwavering commitment has paved the way for current and future leaders in the field of legal justice. Distinguished judges, law enforcement representatives, and community leaders gathered to recognize the exceptional contributions of those who have displayed an unparalleled dedication to civil rights.
This year, the ACRL and NAACP had the privilege of awarding two outstanding individuals: Judge Deborah Thomas from the Third Circuit Court of Michigan and Amir Ali, a distinguished civil rights attorney and President & Executive Director of the MacArthur Justice Center.
